What’s the Best Way to Reheat Pizza Hut?

Want to enjoy your Pizza Hut pizza the next day, but don’t like cold pizza? Well then this article is for you!

There are many ways to reheat your Pizza Hut to get your pizza back to that cheesy, melty, goodness that you’re craving. One even comes recommended by the Pizza Hut team themselves.

The best way to reheat Pizza Hut pizza is to put it in the oven.

That being said, this article will cover a few alternatives for those of you who may not have an oven handy, or just want something quicker.

The Best Method to Reheat Pizza Hut

Recommended by the team at Pizza Hut, this is the best way to reheat your Pizza Hut without burning your pizza. You won’t end up with a soggy crust (the worst!), either.

This method involves using a conventional oven, and will take 30 minutes or so – depending on how long it takes for your oven to preheat.

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. While your oven is preheating take your Pizza Hut out of the refrigerator (and out of the box if you stored it that way) and let it sit for five minutes.

Step 2: Place your Pizza Hut on a baking sheet. If you want to avoid a messier clean up later, put your Pizza Hut on top of a sheet of parchment paper before placing it on the baking sheet. This will also make your crust slightly crispier!

Step 3: Bake your Pizza Hut for 5-10 minutes, depending on how melty you’d like your cheese to get. This time will also vary based on the amount of toppings you have atop the pizza, and whether or not you have a pizza with a stuffed crust.

Step 4: Remove from the oven and serve. Enjoy!

This method is best used when you have multiple slices of Pizza Hut and you have a bit more time. For those of you who may not be in either camp, read on for additional ways to reheat Pizza Hut pizza.

Alternative Great Ways to Reheat Pizza Hut

The Skillet Method

If you’re running out of time to reheat your Pizza Hut, you can easily and quickly reheat your pizza in a skillet on your stovetop. This method is best used for reheating 1 or 2 slices of Pizza Hut and only takes 5 or so minutes. Since this method uses a nonstick pan, learn how to clean a nonstick pan without damaging it.

Step 1: Place a nonstick pan on your stovetop, over a low heat setting. You’ll want the pan to be large enough so that the pizza fits, but small enough so that you can put a lid or heat-safe plate over the top.

Step 2: When your skillet is completely heated, put your pizza in the skillet and cover it with your lid or plate. This will cause the moisture being released by the pizza to be trapped, ensuring that it will heat up more quickly, and will make your cheese incredibly melty.

If you want to speed up this process, put a few drops of water in the skillet next to your pizza. This creates more steam.

Step 3: Keep your Pizza Hut on the skillet for 5 or so minutes, or until heated to your liking. You should check on it every once in a while, to make sure it’s not burning.

The Toaster Oven Method

If you don’t have access to an oven or stove but you’re still looking to reheat your Pizza Hut then this method is going to be right up your alley.

This works best with 1-2 slices of Pizza Hut, depending on the size of your toaster oven.

Step 1: Preheat or set your toaster oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or medium temperature. Ensure you have your wire rack centered in your toaster oven.

Step 2: Cover your toaster oven baking sheet with a piece of foil. You do not want to use parchment paper here, as it could potentially catch fire or burn.

Step 3: Place your pizza hut on top of your foil-covered baking sheet. Bake in the toaster oven for 5 or so minutes initially, or about 2-3 cycles.

The cheese on your Pizza Hut will become very hot and melty, as it will be very close to the heat source. Take caution when removing it from the toaster oven, and let it sit for a minute or two so that you don’t burn the roof of your mouth

What to Avoid

If you’re a pizza enthusiast, you already know what the next sentence is going to be. At all costs, avoid the microwave when reheating Pizza Hut.

Using the microwave to reheat pizza is never a suggested method, regardless of what type of pizza you have.

Microwaving Pizza Hut will make your cheese congealed and chewy, and your crust, while it may seem soft at first, will harden and become tough to chew as it cools down. Essentially, there’s no faster way to ruin your Pizza Hut than by reheating it in a microwave.

The Bottom Line

Reheating Pizza Hut pizza in the oven is your best option, as it ensures your pizza will reheat evenly, without burning any of the toppings. If you’re going to use toppings such as red pepper flakes or extra parmesan cheese, put those on after you reheat your Pizza Hut in the oven so that you don’t burn them.

If you don’t have access to an oven, then the skillet method is for you. Don’t have access to a skillet, either? No problem! Just pop your Pizza Hut in the toaster oven for a few minutes and you’re good to go.

As always, just avoid the microwave. No one likes soggy or tough pizza.

Happy eating!
